ALSO: We pleased to announce the date and location of the 2026 Annual Meeting. It will take place Saturday, July 11th, at Averill Corporation. Doors will open for a social hour at 10 am. The meeting (with lunch) will take place from 11 am to 2pm. More information will be on our website soon ALSO! The leadership team and board will be meeting in May to develop our 2026-2028 Strategy (as we last did in 2023). The LWAP final report will be a material input to that. It is also our intention that we will be creating 6 committees to scale our efforts and pursue these opportunities to protect our watershed. These committees include: 1) LWAP Project Implementation 2) Fundraising 3) Public Policy and Partnerships 4) AIS Prevention and Greeter Program
5) Community Science
6) Nominations
At the Annual Meeting we will be presenting our updated strategy, our recommended priorities, and speak to the mission of these committees to help fulfill these priorities. These committees are new ways to make a meaningful contribution to the work of the ALA on behalf of our beautiful lakes and community.
